ESTABLISH A BEEHIVE
Updown Apiaries provides an opportunity for you to Establish a Hive. We can arrange a hive (Langstroth) to be fully installed in your garden, complete with your own bees! The whole hive can be organised and prepared, ready for you and your bees to make honey.

£500 per hive.
One hive includes a Langstroth brood box, one super, honey and brood frames, a nucleus of bees and a mated Queen.

HIVE DIVE - Beekeeping Experience
Beekeeper experience. Your chance to don a beekeeping outfit for the day. Experience the buzz of 50,000 bees. Look, smell and open your mind to the insightful structure of the honeybee colony. Learn about the Queen, worker, scout and drone bees and the different roles they play within the hive.
An excellent opportunity for those who are considering beekeeping. Alternatively, this makes for a great and unique experience.
Protective Bee suits and gloves are provided.

Bees Wax Wraps

Each wrap is made by hand.
Using the beeswax from our hives we create a natural beautiful product. You are able to use these time and time again - reducing your use of clingfilm and plastic. Simple wash in cold water to clean. We use them to wrap our bread, cheese, sandwiches and food that might otherwise be wrapped with clingfilm.
